I have been writing for 3 or 4 years, ever since my mind demanded I write the story of "Giganto" a kid who after a botched allergy removal, gains the ability to increase and decrease his size at will. It had no plot, and I still cringe to this day about it. But it led me down the path of writing and here I am today.
It all started a long time ago in first grade. I read Fablehaven by Brandon Mull for Battle of the Books, and I fell in love with words. (I know, kinda crazy as a first grader). I read and read and read, devouring all the knowledge I could get my tiny little hands on. In 5th grade, I was assigned a daunting project. I had to fill five whole pages with an original, unique story. When I finally finished the story, I ended with something about 17 pages long, and I realized how much I love writing. I've been writing since then. I want to be a role model to other young authors out there, and that's one of the reasons I've kept going.
I decided to write after finishing a book I loved, I think it was Fablehaven... But after I finished it I decided I wanted to write too, because I looked up to Brandon Mull, the author of Fablehaven, and wanted kids to look up to me too.
I don't remember what made me write my first story. It was long time ago! I think I was simply bored...
But what I love about writing is the whole concept of it. For me it's like reading but I'm the first person to uncover the story, the first one who reads it. And creating the whole world, the characters... I simply love it!
